Although I haven’t been very active here, God has been doing so many things in my life in the past few weeks.

I’d like to share with you a few of the things I’m dealing with and how they have set me in the right path to get closer to the Lord.

+ First of all, I had a brain stroke in august 2019 and recovered 95% after a couple of months.

+ Two weeks ago I went on a weekend getaway with my girl friends to a city called Punta Cana in my country (Dominican Republic). On our second day there, I had an epilepsy crisis and multiple convulsions.

Ended up admitted at the hospital and have been down and trying to recover since then.

From that experience I can say that the worst wasn’t the fact that I passed out while I was just talking to my friends while sitting at this wonderful beach, but the fact that reliving this experience again (cause it also happened in December 2019) made me feel afraid and insecure.

I was telling myself (and still am sometimes) things such as “I don’t believe I’m going to live longer” “I’m only 25 and I’m dealing with situations I *shouldn’t* be dealing” and other non healthy stuffs.

But, one day this week the Lord asked me to call my neighbor, who’s also a pastor and ask for guidance, cause I feel in my heart that there’s something God wants me to do, that I ain’t doing. THere’s somewhere I should be, there’s something I should be saying, BUT I AM NOT DOING, and he’s desperate for me to take action, so he’s shaking my world to catch my attention.

The point of this story is to share with you that I started studying God’s word every day with my neighbor. We start at 8 am and take 30 or 40 minutes every day. We sing, we pray, we read the bible, we share our thoughts and EVERY DAY the Lord teach me something different.

I believe he’s guiding me, helping me discover this BIG purpose he has for me.

He has called me to go on an adventure in the next few days, a big one. One that terrifies me a lot, but one thing I know for sure, when this adventure comes to an end, I will understand God’s promises to me and I’ll be transformed.

I want to keep you all updated, would you like to read more about this new journey I’m about to start?

      xo,

      Marlin.

Wow! Marlin, this is so brave of you to share this.I can’t imagine how challenging this must be for you. As the bible says,”The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.”1cor.10:13. God will show you the to triumph and I can’t wait to hear your victory story!

This is very thoughtful of you, Ukeme! AMEN, I don’t know how the future looks like but I do believe in the Lord I serve, he’s guiding us (me) for good and I’m willing to follow his directions.

Love you @Marlinchabely ! Thanks for being bold and sharing about your experience. Like you said yesterday, the important thing to do is open up and share your story and share what God is teaching you. That’s what keeps us all connected and reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles. We have our individual testimonies but we are all part of a larger narrative. God weaves our stories together, and we all learn and grow together when we are open with one another. I can’t wait to hear more from you 😊
