So this morning I was meditating on why God did not allow David to build Him a temple. One of the strong lessons I drew from the story in 2 Samuel 7:1-30 is how God values our initiative to do something or carry out a project for His glory. Yes God works in us to will and do according to His good pleasure but when we actually sit down and strategize for the sake of His Kingdom, He is pleased. God was so moved that even though He didn’t let David do it, He gave him an eternal blessing. David wasn’t thinking of a reward because God had blessed him excessively and he was at rest. But nothing goes unrewarded with God. God is a rewarder of those who seek Him diligently.
I want to encourage us that God sees those seemingly little things that you think about and sacrifice for the sake of His Kingdom and your reward will be eternal!Have a great week!1 Comment-

I attended a friend’s board meeting yesterday and I said the same thing. It’s a privilege to partner with Him in what He is doing. @michael Thanks for sharing your lessons from your devotion.
