I must say this is a very important message for everyone of us whether you are a leader or not. The truth is that we are in some type of leadership at every point in our lives. We must learn to stay true to our convictions at all times.

Thanks @Michael the teaching is very sound. As you mentioned, the process of discipleship begins with believing, and then following until one becomes the image of the master. So, the goal of true Kingdom discipleship is to become like Christ and be formed in his image as Paul says in Galatians 4:19
My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you.

This devotional is timely. We just talked about this in the launch meeting yesterday how important it is to be faithful as co-laborers in the vineyard with God. He is the one that causes the growth and harvest. Our role is to plant and water the seed faithfully.

It is true! God tests us to let us discover what we are made of. He is all-knowing and the Bible says he does not need any one to advise him. Every time God asked a man a question in the Bible, it is not to obtain new information from the person but to get the person’s attention so he can speak to him. Let’s take a position of learning when he tests us.

For me, it admonishes me to stay true to what God has put in my heart and not to deny his faith because each time we back down or forsake what we know we are meant to do just for the sake of what others would say, we are denying his faith.

Today’s devotional reminded me that despite the situation in the world, I am safe in the Lord. I am reminded that I have a divine covering against COVID-19.

That is true! It reminds me of my early days in evangelism as a young Christian. Whenever I am about to share the word with people, especially, in public like in a classroom, in a bus or on the streets, my emotions are going wild with all kinds of feelings. Most of it being fear of rejection and lack of faith in myself but I am often reminded to put my faith in Him.

The word of God is a tangible matter that we can hold unto. Till today, I still feel the words the Lord had spoken to me 20 years ago as if it was just yesterday. His word is so real. His word is powerful!

Prophecies are and should be a confirmation of the word of God. It must not contradict scripture or the principles of faith and the doctrine of Christ.
It is for edification, correction and for rebuke but overall for the good of the receiver. It must not cast down, destroy or throw confusion. That’s how we prove prophecy.

@Jefferson That’s a good point! A disciple internalizes what he learns and lets the knowledge change the way he or she lives. There are many students in the church but few disciples. To be a disciple you must be willing to not only hear but you must also be a doer of the word.

@purposefaith Your response is very powerful and I am glad this devotion was an eye opener. The revelation of scripture is locked in these Hebrew words. ?
