Growth requires discipline and patience. I have come to the conclusion that many believers don’t see the promise because we are in a hurry. We must understand that God doesn’t operate by our calendar. He sets the time and place He will bless and our role is to remain faithful and believing at all times.

If you think about it money controls the world. We wake up to pursue money and we go to sleep thinking about how to improve our chances the next day. So money is the Big Test. How do you maintain a balance between a reasonable desire for provision and ungodly desire to be rich? I think that’s a very important consideration.

The thought of dashing through challenges is very encouraging. When I look at the many difficulties one have had to endure in my years of walking with the lord, you wonder why. But knowing that Mary and Joseph had to run through difficulties even with the word of God spoken to them and they saw an angel visibly, is encouraging.

This is a lesson for us all to keep on pressing on. The year never ends in the eyes of God. So let’s continue to have faith.

Hi Rebecca, thanks for sharing about you. It’s encouraging to see how our mindsets are shifting to see God express His kingdom through our vocations.

This morning I woke with a very clear dream which I believe the Lord was instructing me on the plans for 2021. I was grappling with the meaning and today’s devotional just lined up perfectly with the message I believe the Lord was showing me in my dream. What a confirmation! ?

@Becca.R I agree with you in prayer. We need accuracy of thought and divine guidance as we flesh out the mandate that God had given us.

Interesting today’s devotional mentioned that the world will never end. We have all grown up and taught that one day the world will end but the Bible never teaches that. Rather, it is the present age that will end. A new age will be ushered in at the second coming of Jesus to continue in the earth.

    This gets me thinking ?

To complete a mandate you have to know what exactly it is the Lord would have you do. My prayer is for more insight to my assignment as I seek the Lord in prayer and fellowship.

We stand with you in prayer for deliverance from the chains of procrastination. I totally understand what you mean because I myself have had to deal with this and is still fighting in this regard. May the Lord infuse us with divine strength and a zeal for the Lord in Jesus Name.

I must say Rick has been a blessing to us in this platform. Very funny way to say the truth. We must put on love, intentionally. Christian living is not a passive act but one that we must actively be part of through a conscious effort. We are to be co-laborers with God by putting on love. Some practical examples that I try to apply include:

    1. Let that text message you are about to send to your spouse, friend, co-worker stay for a couple of hours before tapping send. Read it again if you still want to say some of the things you typed when you were angry.

    2. Take time to premeditate how you will respond to uncomfortable circumstances.

    The list goes on.

I have read this scripture for as long as I can remember but I didn’t realize that Sceva was not a name but a description of the man’s character. As always, Rick opens up subtle shades of meaning in the scriptures. I believe that the decisions that we make today are going a long way to shape the mindset of our children in the future. So, we must be intentional about showing them the right examples and teach to honor God.
