October 10: Holiness in the Marketplace
In a world that often separates the sacred from the secular, the idea of holiness in the marketplace may seem contradictory. But in God’s kingdom, every area of our lives is meant to reflect His glory. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us that whatever we do, whether at work or at home, should be done with all our hearts, as working for the Lord and not for men.The world may tell us that success is measured by power, prestige, and possessions. But God’s kingdom values faithfulness, integrity, and service. Our workplaces, where we spend a significant portion of our time, are not just spaces for career advancement but opportunities to shine God’s light through our actions and attitudes. By bringing holiness and love into the marketplace, we declare God’s lordship over all aspects of our lives.
