In a world that values self-sufficiency and human strength, God’s kingdom operates on a different principle. As believers, we are empowered not by our own might but by the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8 (ESV) reminds us, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Our witness for Christ is not about eloquent speeches or persuasive arguments alone; it is about the transformational power of the Spirit working through us.The world may tell us to rely on our own abilities, to be self-made and self-reliant. But the Kingdom principle is to depend on God’s strength and guidance. When we surrender our pride and allow the Holy Spirit to work in and through us, we become powerful witnesses of Christ’s love and truth. Let us step out in faith, trusting in the Spirit’s guidance for our words and actions, knowing that it is His power that brings about true change.
