July 17: Encourage and Spur One Another On

In a world that often promotes individualism and self-centeredness, the call to be encouragers and spurs in one another’s lives stands in stark contrast. Hebrews 10:24-25 urges believers to consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together. This kingdom principle calls for intentional community, where our presence and encouragement can uplift and sustain one another in faith. The worldly mindset often focuses on personal achievement and advancement, sometimes at the expense of others. But God’s Kingdom values community, love, and mutual support. Just as Paul encouraged the Thessalonians to build each other up (1 Thessalonians 5:11), we are called to do the same. Through our words, actions, and presence, we have the opportunity to be vessels of hope, spurring each other toward love and good deeds.
