Time to plan, Time to pray!
Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass. Psalms 37:4-5 KJV
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24 KJV
It is with a heart full of gratitude to Almighty God — from whom all blessings flow — that we embrace the gift of each new season. Every passing chapter offers us an opportunity: to pause, reflect, take stock, and prayerfully step forward.
In a previous article, I shared the immense value of looking back intentionally and planning wisely for your future. Today, I want to highlight something even more vital — the role of prayer.
Across the world, people step into new seasons in different ways. Some celebrate with gatherings, family, and festivities. Others mark the transition quietly, in solitude or reflection. But as people of faith, we understand something deeper: that the physical realm is shaped by the spiritual. Everything seen was once unseen. The ideas, inventions, breakthroughs, and blessings still to emerge have their roots in the invisible realm. And at the head of all spiritual authority is Jesus Christ.
As we form goals, resolutions, or dreams for the days ahead, it’s crucial to remember this truth: the power to bring them to pass ultimately rests with God. While we plan, it is God who enables the execution. The good news is — He delights in seeing His children succeed when we walk in alignment with His will. And prayer is the bridge that brings that alignment.
When we pray, we don’t merely tick a religious box — we declare our trust. We acknowledge our dependence. We invite divine wisdom, direction, and strength into our journey. Even when circumstances seem uncertain or the past has been heavy, God promises hope:
“For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” — Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP)
So wherever you find yourself right now — whether you’re full of excitement for the future or hesitant because of past disappointments — be reminded: your future is not aimless. God’s plans for you are rooted in love and purpose.
Let’s boldly approach the throne of grace. Let’s lay every desire, every fear, and every plan before the One who holds it all. For by human strength alone, we cannot prevail. But with God, all things are possible.
May this new season be filled with grace, clarity, and divine momentum.
