Launching in Presence: A Founder’s Retreat with God
I am in a solitary location right now, on retreat, preparing my heart and mind for something I’ve been building for a year: Blockli AI Assistant. Next week, I’ll be going public — launching on Product Hunt, AppSumo, and LinkedIn. Most founders in the SaaS world rely on metrics, strategy, and hustle. But I’m doing something different: I’m grounding myself in God.
This retreat is my wilderness, my “burning bush moment.” I feel the weight of the question: “Who am I to launch this? Who am I to step into this marketplace?” And yet, like Moses, the answer doesn’t come from self-confidence or skill. It comes from God’s presence: “I AM with you.”
I don’t want to operate like the typical founder, running on hype, fear, or ego. I want to operate with sending authority, power, and presence — anchored in God, not in my own adequacy. My strength, my courage, my ability to steward this product well does not flow from what I can do alone, but from knowing my God, echoing Daniel 11:32: “The people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits.”
In this retreat, I am stripping away distractions and the “sandals” of self-reliance, performance, and pride. I am humbling myself to be present, to hear God’s voice, and to let Him define the parameters of this launch. I am asking:
• What does it mean to compete in the market with God’s authority rather than self-promotion?
• How can Blockli AI Assistant serve others faithfully, reflecting Kingdom values in a tech-driven space?
• Where is God inviting me to lean into His power rather than my own skill, to step boldly because He is with me?
This is a posture of vulnerability and courage. It is grounding myself in God before entering public visibility. It is acknowledging that, like Moses, I don’t need to feel powerful — I need to know God is powerful and that He is with me.
I am entering this launch not just as a founder, but as someone sent, anchored, and empowered. Not chasing attention, but pursuing impact. Not relying on myself, but leaning into the One whose presence transforms obstacles into opportunities, uncertainty into exploits.
This retreat is more than preparation; it’s an encounter. A reminder that success measured by numbers is fleeting, but success aligned with God’s purpose is enduring. As I step back into the world next week, I carry with me the assurance that this launch is not mine alone — it is God’s presence, power, and guidance that will lead the way.

Oh what an example and a reminder that “true success flows from God’s presence.” God’s Special Grace in all.

Faith is not proven by how much I can push through, but by how often I stop to remember that God holds it all. Every pause is an act of surrender that keeps me from leaning on my own strength.

Wow this is powerful Pst Phil and I could sense you were at it again🙇♀️ when you mentioned to leave for a time. It’s amazing to watch and be part of what God is doing here. Your humility in all can only come from the place of vulnerability. We keep praying for the impact and welcome back🔥🔥🔥🔥
