    Hello everyone!

This weeks topic is “social media”
In the early 2000’s life as we knew it changed, we became hyper-connected, shared more about ourselves , validated each-other, gave opinions and even started movements online all this has been possible through the power of social media.
Let’s not leave out the down sides such as :-…

Interesting topic Rebecca. I have Christian friends who see social media as the devil’s tool and so have refused to have any account. On the other hand, I know of believers who are stuck on it and using it productively for the gospel. I think it goes to remind me of the scripture in Romans 14:14 that nothing is unclean of itself but… Read more

Social media, like @michael, said, can be likened to a screwdriver, which can be a tool or a weapon depending on who is holding it. The different platforms serve a good purpose but to do that, people have to give up some of their data, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

Some of these platforms mine these data can often be aggressive…

Thanks you @purposefaith for the exhortation. Its quite instructive as well. The scriptures that readily came to mind were Hebrews 10:25 MSG “Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshipping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching” and 2Cor…

I’m curious to know what the conversation was about too

Would love to hear about it too. Was it really wisdom he spoke? Because some atheists I have met have only read the letters of the bible and will argue based on those. But the beauty of the scripture is that it is encrypted by the Holy Spirit and it takes one who has the Spirit to decrypt the language of the Spirit as 1Cor 2 says. Anything else… Read more

@rebecca yeah I can see why he was so off-put by Christianity. The prosperity gospel is one of the main problems in church society today. I don’t want to point names but there are certain mega churches that go around preaching about wealth and using it for themselves, but then neglecting to talk about the giver who provided the blessing, which… Read more
