“Faith has an address.” Wow, that’s a fresh perspective!

Looking forward to this series. Looking back on history, we can see how innovation has done great things in society but when those new inventions, or new ways of living, were introduced they were usually unpopular. Interesting to see how that parallels with the unfolding of the ages and the evolution of the church. Thanks for pointing that out.

This is a good word! It reminds me of of both God’s faithfulness as well as his divine orderliness. He is a God of order. Nothing is “out of control”. He made provision for our salvation through Jesus and He put systems and structures in place to make sure we are cared for. Just like the law of gravity is a natural law in place for us on earth, there are spiritual laws and systems at work for our good.

Good reminder, especially with being home so much lately and seeing all the things we “need” or need to get done. None of it is worth being anxious about.

@Michael , these questions have me thinking! I’ve never considered whether there is a difference between being a new creation and being a disciple… my first thought is that we become a new creation in Christ when we receive salvation, but discipleship is an ongoing commitment and a lifelong journey. Like you said, being a disciple comes with discipline and submission to authority. I don’t know if I answered your question… so I’m looking forward to you breaking this down for us Smile

Agreed. In the world it’s commonplace in the world to resort to people pleasing or just being that “chameleon” to fit in with different groups of people. So when it comes to our re-education by Kingdom principles, truthfulness and living based on conviction are things we need to learn how to do. I think this is something we should emphasize in our Growth/Leadership pillar.

Hi fam, could we pray together for Vidya’s mom? She has been in the hospital for a few days now with gastric pain. She is no longer in ICU, but she is on IV and her body must eliminate the gas before she will be discharged from the hospital. Let’s pray for complete healing as well as God’s grace over @Chinni and her family.

The illustrations he gives of the greek word of the day in these devotionals is so poignant! It’s amazing how much depth is in each and every word of Scripture. Just the word “deny” meaning to wash your hands of something or someone, completely forsaking it – and typically out of fear of retaliation – gives such a vivid picture. These devotionals really help open up my imagination in the Word instead of just reading the words themselves – I think that’s where the true revelations by the Spirit start to unfold.

When he said Paul “had the shakes” standing in front of the church, that struck me! I don’t usually think of Paul as I guy who gets nervous… interesting. God is continually having to remind us not to be afraid to do his will or to speak his words because we can get some caught up in how others might be react, or how doubtful we feel about whether God is really calling us, or insecure we may feel about our own abilities. I know I struggle with that. I was also reminded of Jeremiah. God always promises to show up and give us the words to say when we speak on His behalf, but we have to faithful to go to the people and open our mouths.

Yes, I also agree in prayer for your uncle that he would receive healing in Jesus’ name. I pray that he would overcome this sickness by the blood of the lamb. Also praying for you and your family to be encouraged, Ps Vidhya.
