Praise God for Jesus’ sacrifice for us! My reflections so far this week around Jesus’ love and his humble submission to God’s plan have been incredibly refreshing to my soul. Almost like a much-needed “reset” in some ways, back to the basics of our faith. Having put so much of my focus in recent years on the other side of the cross – the victory, the new resurrected life with Christ, the empowering of the Holy Spirit – it’s sobering to visit the cross again and focus my attention there.

Remembering that Jesus did for me what I couldn’t do for myself is HUGE. Jesus secured my salvation – it wasn’t my own effort. The only reason I have the opportunity to partner with God now is because Jesus first did what He needed to do for me. It is the beautiful truth of His sacrificial love.
