I came across something interesting this week that I would like us to discuss. I was reading Romans 14 in the Message translation of the bible, and it dawned on me that Paul spoke about the importance of conviction. He admonished believers not to compare themselves with one another but to strive to act based on personal persuasion.

Growth requires discipline and patience. I have come to the conclusion that many believers don’t see the promise because we are in a hurry. We must understand that God doesn’t operate by our calendar. He sets the time and place He will bless and our role is to remain faithful and believing at all times.

If you think about it money controls the world. We wake up to pursue money and we go to sleep thinking about how to improve our chances the next day. So money is the Big Test. How do you maintain a balance between a reasonable desire for provision and ungodly desire to be rich? I think that’s a very important consideration.
