The Power Of Staying!
If God has ever given you an idea—whether for a business, an event, a ministry, or any kind of initiative—there’s often a strong temptation to just jump in and start executing that idea right away. At first, you’re full of energy and adrenaline, excited about what God has shown you. But after a while, that initial excitement fades, especially when you begin to face the realities and challenges of life.
Every idea comes with its own set of obstacles. And often, when we try to carry out what God has placed in our hearts without fully preparing, we end up feeling stuck, alone, or overwhelmed. We may even find ourselves questioning, “What have I done?”
One major reason this happens is because we run off with just the idea, without waiting to receive the system that will help us bring that idea to life. The importance of “staying power” cannot be overemphasized—the discipline of remaining in God’s presence long enough to not just receive the idea, but also to receive the system that will make it work.
When God begins to speak to you, what you’re receiving is often just a glimpse. That’s why it’s important to stay, tarry, and listen—so that He can reveal not only what to do, but how to do it.
Ideas alone are not enough. You need both ideas and systems. So as you pray and trust God for what He’s placing in your heart, also pray this:
“God, show me the system. Show me how this will happen. Show me how to marshal it out.”
Because the system is key to seeing God’s plan fully realized.
