        THE SILENT RELATIONSHIP KILLERS


        As we continue in the month of relationships, there are certain silent and destructive relationship killers that needs addressing. There are known as jealousy, envy, and pride.

        JEALOUSY


        Definition : Jealousy is an emotional state characterized by feelings of insecurity, anxiety, and possessiveness in a relationship.

        Causes: Jealousy can arise from feelings of inadequacy, low self-esteem, past experiences, or unrealistic expectations.

        Effects: Jealousy can lead to controlling behavior, mistrust, and conflict in relationships.

        ENVY

        Definition: Envy is the feeling of discontentment or resentment towards someone else’s success, possessions, or relationships.

        Causes: Envy can stem from feelings of inadequacy, insecurity, or dissatisfaction with one’s own life.

        Effects: Envy can lead to resentment, bitterness, and damage to relationships.

        PRIDE

        Definition: Pride is an excessive self-esteem or ego that can lead to arrogance, haughtiness, or a sense of superiority.

        Causes: Pride can arise from a need for validation, a sense of accomplishment, or a fear of vulnerability.

        Effects: Pride can lead to an inability to apologize, forgive, or show empathy, causing damage to relationships.

        MANIFESTATION OF THE SILENT RELATIONSHIP KILLERS


        Jealousy: Possessiveness, accusations, or controlling behavior.

        Envy: Resentment, criticism, or competition with one’s partner.

        Pride: Arrogance, refusal to apologize, or a sense of superiority.

        Recognizing and addressing these emotions can help individuals build healthier and more fulfilling relationships.

        Overcoming the silent killers in relationships.
