Very thought-provoking! We are not going to be rewarded by the amount of activities we have done but by how much of those results stand the test of time(abides). It’s more about the quality of the impact and not just the impact. I pray and strive to always give the best in all my service in the Kingdom.

I really love to hear this. For a lot of us, we grew up in a religious culture of blame, little wonder we blame God, our spouses, our parents, our children and everyone else easily. We see that when a Christian brother or sister falls into a misbehaviour or sin, people gather like vultures to disect/criticize or even destroy them for their wrongs without even thinking that themselves may fall into same challenges too. We must be careful not to do the devil’s job- accuser of the brethren.
This reminds me of the story of the woman caught in adultery, and how Jesus handled it. He told her “…neither do I condemn you”. There is therefore, now no condemnation in Christ. The gospel of the Kingdom brings the freedom to live above sin and the condemnation. We work on producing good fruits and be blameless. If we miss our step, we get up like that woman, knowing that Christ does not condemn us, rather, our Master is able to keep us from falling. That way we are able to strengthen others too when they stumble or fall.

I like that this is not a suggestion but an active instruction- “Flee”. It should be a conditioned reflex action inbuilt in us. A lot of great men and women have been ruined because of this, so it’s risky to play around thinking we can handle it. Once you get those sexual nuances or undertones in a relationship with someone, it’s time to lift your feet and flee. Don’t rationalize it because you may not escape once caught in the web. For me that is how I survive it and I also think it’s easier when we maintain purity of heart and motive towards others, that way we see purity in all they do and can be honest with ourselves to renew our mind if it is wandering away to inordinate desires. If you fall, pick yourself up, get help and get better.

I love that godly sorrow is not to lead us to a position or state of guilt, rather to inspire a change of mind and behaviour. Don’t get stuck in past, change your mindset and embrace a better you instead.

Very profound truth. When your spirit is inwardly disturbed, it is an indicator to pray for clarity and divine direction.

Growing up in the Roman Catholic church, one of the good things I learnt was to reverence the house of God, especially the altar which I think was a good way to imbibe a reverence for the things of God. I find when we treat God’s things with respect, it also translates into the way we order our lives. It is also an exercise in godliness.

Thank you@phil4krist for this enlightening discussion.
I see the Christian earthly journey as a process of training in divine nature where we are daily taught by the Holy Spirit about our true selves – not what we think or have been told by people. The world says no man is perfect but Jesus says, be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect. As mentioned, we must be careful not to let other people’s experiences define the veracity of the word of God. For instance, Just because a great man of God suffers sickness does not make divine health a lie. It is our job to prove God’s word for ourselves. When we wholly acknowledge and accept that God’s word is infallible and live that way, then we begin to experience new heights of spiritual attainment that people thought was impossible.
Personally I don’t just want to preach but I regularly question my convictions so I can be sure I really believe what I preach, else it just becomes religious rites without any power. One might experience sickness/ frustrations/challenges but that does not make the word of God a lie; Just as a thief breaking into someone’s house does not make the owner of the house lose ownership of the house, rather he/she defends it from the thief. So we ought to hold fast to God’s word in adversity and the inherent power in that Word becomes our surety/guarantee for victory because faith is the victory that overcomes the world and its systems. Hallelujah!

Lovely reminder. We live in a “woke” generation with proliferation of knowledge as the bible foretold, Which is why we need a constant reminder of the unchanging word of God. That’s why I love this platform keeping us renewed in the true accurate knowledge of God.

Thanks a lot @phil4krist for the insightful response. Thats quite true because I noticed that if you are a very efficient person, people will want to involve you in everything even when it goes against your vision and mission in life. Everyone also wants to be around you. To protect our focus, we need to learn to say, “No” and cut down our engagements to get the BEST results and not just the GOOD results. I see why Paul stated that all things are lawful to him but not all things are necessary.
