Oftentimes, we want some kind of validation from people about the vision or instruction God has placed in our hearts and we get discouraged or doubtful if they don’t seem to align with us. But God will often call us to walk alone with Him so we can trust and commit to Him wholly. As we submit to Him, He accomplishes more than we ever imagined through us.

Very encouraging. As leaders and individuals we expect quick results or change when dealing with people. Drawing from Jesus’ example of patience with Peter, I feel the need to be more patient with people and give them the allowance to come to the Lord or to learn and grow at their pace. This can be challenging but just because the change I hope to see is not yet visible, does not mean it is not happening. Just deal with them one step at a time.

Quite insightful. I feel comforted to know that God is not testing me to prove anything to Himself but for my own good so I can be confident in my abilities and knowlege of who I am. You never know what you are capable of until you go through the test. Then you can be bold about your resilience.

Thank God for words of encouragement. Patience is a product pressure. Every trying time comes to make us more resilient in accomplishing purpose. When I think of giving up, I remember where God brought me from and I strengthen myself in hope.

I always guard my heart with the words óf Jesus “Speaking to the people, Jesus continued, “Be alert and guard your heart from greed and from always wishing for what you don’t have. For your life can never be measured by the amount of things you possess.”

    Luke 12:15 TPT

So I know that whatever I have now, someone else had it before and others will also have it after me, so no need to put your joy in it but to use it with thanksgiving, knowing that if God gave me, He has better in store, so why would I replace the giver with the gift. I rather trust God and have contentment.

Amazing and thought provoking piece @purposefaith . It reminds me of an old song that talks about seeking for love in all the wrong places. It is inherent in us to pursue what gives us happiness but unfortunately if these things are rooted in ephemeral items we only find ourselves looking for more. Just look at the so-called richest people in the world or even highly paid celebrities. Some are contemplating suicide and will give anything to have the peace from within. The bible says that the eyes of man is like a bottomless pit which never gets full. When we turn our eyes to Jesus and seek His own will for our lives, he rewards us with peace and contentment that is beyond usual human experience. Like Paul wrote to Timothy -Godliness with contentment is great gain.

This was thought-provoking for me. God wants me to be happy but I must be careful that I do not prioritize my happiness over my love for God and the Kingdom purposes.

Thank you Emem for the lovely comments. Yes it is good to pray for our leaders and encourage them as this is a biblical instruction that comes with spiritual and physical blessings.

I agree with you, we could find time to discuss about ways a leader can stay encouraged in the midst of adversity. I believe this is the bedrock of true strength in leadership.

Thanks for sharing Rose. I quite agree that when we open our minds under God’s guidance, we learn a lot even from our daily activities.

Thank you Jefferson for your insightful response. Like you, I am always passionate about the work of God. I believe every believer should be that way. I realized that the more I spend time with God, the clearer and more relaxed I feel and I experience nature much deeper. Also, when we learn to play and take time out to share our lives in practical ways with the people or environment around us in a self controlled way, it is easier for us to find better opportunities to share the love of God with them.

Thank you@phil4krist for expanding further. I couldn’t agree more. The example in the footballing or soccer world makes it clearer. We need to covet divine counsel through the word of God and also from mature coaches or mentor.

Quite instructive. The role of one to one evangelism cannot be overstated because it affords the opportunity to directly impact a life. With rapid globalization through technology, a lot of people live more in the virtual spaces than the physical world, making it imperative to have a platform like ours to bridge the gap and flood them with the light of the gospel, permeating beyond the limitations of physical space. Thank God for divine innovation.

Wow! Thank you Sandrine for the inspiring and quite achievable strategies you have shared. Sometimes we want to wait to have it all organized to share the gospel. However, like Paul said, that our lives are open books for the world to read. The easiest way to evangelize is to share your own testimonies of how the gospel has changed your life in practical ways. The Holy Spirit can act on and water these seeds to convict the person and win the soul. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Minkee for the good question. I would say that the difference is quite subtle. Excellence is not necessarily about being perfect but an attitude or disposition to achieve the best out of whatever you are given to do. Perfection on the other hand refers to a state of completeness or which no further improvement is possible. An excellent person is not one who is perfect but one who is constantly improving on his/herself to be the best version of his/herself.
