Powerful narrative, interesting to see how politics and religion intertwined and played a role in Jesus crucifixion.

Inspiring perspective. Financial giving very important but there are things money cannot buy. Knowing we have more to give is liberating.

I love this. A reminder that God owns everything and I am only a custodian of the blessing for the benefit of the people I come in contact with and my community. Everything we have was given to us for the profit of God’s glory. Our reward is determined by how profitably we use the resources in our custody.

The pruning process is the growth process though tough. When we examine our thoughts, intentions and actions through the lens of God’s word, we prune them into alignment with God’s will.
Inspiring devotional.

Thank you Blandine for the thoughtful post. We are constantly told about self care which is very important. However, sometimes this could be a thin line and used as an excuse for selfishness.Paul had to ask the Corinthian church members who were always looking for their rights at all cost “can’t you be cheated?” Hard but sometimes in other to win, we may need to lose.
Someone said “How much we win in God’s kingdom is determined by how much we are willing lose”.

Instructive one here.
I used to try to carry all my activities in my head and then struggle to remember them as the day progresses. I felt more stressed until I decided to schedule my activities. Now, I have things planned out with reminders. That way I only have to look at my planners and reminders and I’m guided on my activities.
Those who fail to schedule their plans will likely find themselves fulfilling other people’s plans.

Thank you for this. Tests produce perseverance and strength of character which gives us assurance of reward in future. This for me is the secret of success anywhere.

Interesting question. I’ll give my opinion because there’s that extreme where some would say “Take the world and give me Jesus” which is right in one sense but could be used to justify laziness.
According to our focus this month of resourcefulness, God demands fruitfulness. Living lean for me is about cutting down on greed, envy and insatiable desire to accumulate more at the expense of others, family or even our health or mental wellbeing. Sometimes we want to accumulate or achieve more out of unhealthy competition and comparison.
God wants us to be high achievers but we should do so in a spirit of gratitude, selflessness and most importantly, contentment. As Apostle Paul puts it, “Godliness with contentment is great gain”.
