    @phil4krist THIS RIGHT HERE!!

    I dont know how I missed responding to this earlier, but I’m glad I’m getting into this now!

    I love the reference of God being a GOOD father, not an ungodly father leading us into trials to teach us lessons! He loves us and teaches us because he LOVES us (Hebrews 12:6).

    I love that we’re talking about this and I look forward to reading the other responses.

    I used to think in my mind that Job suffered because God “allowed” it to be so (not necessarily that they “came” from God) but that God permitted it. I use to wrestle with these thoughts and was fearful of what God might “allow” in my life (similar to Job) but I am getting the revelation that in these moments of FEAR, that I’m not walking in FAITH. And Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. God’s word says ROMANS 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

    @phil4krist Thank you for sharing these other bible scriptures and references pertaining to six things Christians should not suffer. I am reading through each scripture to convert the word into my faith and then standing firm on that!

    THANK YOU JESUS that It is not the will of God for us to suffer any of the things named above.

    We confess, believe, and receive the Word of God, and every provision that has been made through the exceeding great and precious promises. THANK YOU, GOD, for giving us all things which pertain to life and godliness (2 Cor. 1:20; 2 Pet. 1:3-4).

    2 Peter 1:2-11

    2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the [c]corruption that is in the world through lust.

    Fruitful Growth in the Faith
    5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control [d]perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither [e]barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

    10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
