Hi @Jefferson Tithing is an act of worship and a means of showing gratitude to God for His provision in your finances. However, you must not approach it as a tax that you owe because there is nothing we have that has not been given to us by God. Read 2 Corinthians 8 & 9 for Paul’s advice on giving from a right heart and for the right motive. Generally, most people give tithe God blesses and that could be in the form of your salary earning, a divine provision , or a business revenue. It is up to you to determine how and when you wish to honor the Lord with your substance. Let us know if you any more questions on this.

Right, I get it now!
But let’s assume that I pick money on the floor while going somewhere and I decide to NOT give the tithe of it!
Will I be punished ?
What I mean is like when a child of God doesn’t pay his/her tithe, what happen then?
Thank you Pastor-

If you saw money on the floor, you shouldn’t pick it up since it is not yours and you can’t tithe on what you didn’t earn. If it is a huge sum of money and you feel a responsibility to do some thing then take it to the police or the local leaders.
God does not punish anyone for not tithing. You simply don’t reap the benefits of tithing.
Think of it this way, exercise is good for the health, no one will punish you for not doing a routine exercise but you surely won’t enjoy the fitness that comes with a good exercise lifestyle.
God won’t punish you for not tithing but you won’t experience whatever blessing is promised with tithing.
Tithing is based on the principle of giving. And whoever gives, shall receive.
