This is so relevant for me as I’ve come to realize that I internalize the troubles around me, especially when it comes to work and relationships. I have to constantly fight to not allow those thoughts to take root in my heart. That verse in 2 Tim 1:7 is one that I am actively working through this season. The more I surrender my thoughts to Him and take up the mind of Christ, the more I will have a trouble-free mind. Amen! 🙏🏼

So thankful for God’s Spirit empowering me to run this race. Hebrews 11:1-2 has been my anchor this season

So true. This is a topic that has always been running in my subconscious and that is why over time I’ve learned to distinguish between pastors who preach from the word of God and pastors who preach “motivational speeches” or from their own experiences.

Amen! So thankful that God is so merciful, patient and so gracious to give everyone time to repent before the last person has heard the Gospel.

Of course! I encourage you to continue to pray for her as there is power in intercessory prayer. Know that God wants her to know Him much more. My family members aren’t saved but I have faith that they will come to know the Lord in His timing as I continue to show them His love. 🙏🏼

Hi! I think the best way to share the gospel is to show the love of Christ. There comes a time and place when you will share the gospel and she will be open and receptive to hearing it, but I believe in the power of showing people Christ’s love. There are so many ways to do that. If she is struggling with depression, listen to her. James 1:19 says “be slow to speak and quick to listen.” Give her food or drink or just company so that she knows she is not alone. One of the greatest chapters in the Bible talks about the way of love. “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
1 Corinthians 13:1-7 ESV
When you know God well, you love well. I hope this was helpful. Bless you! 🤍

I like what you said about patience cannot be received by prayer but only by testing through challenging times. It’s something I’m continuing to cultivate in my field of working with special needs kids. It’s a gift and a virtue that takes time to cultivate and practice.
