@Michael
I’ve been thinking about the ministry of Luke’ and the role he played being that he was a doctor; and a follower of Christ at the same time, do you have any insight on this ?

I believe as a doctor he possessed the skills to pen down the history and events of Jesus’s life. And as a doctor, the Book Luke was written with the theme on Jesus’ healing ministry. Luke portrays Jesus as the healer more than the other gospels.

Thanks a lot ! Very enlightening! I like to take the 12 disciples and study each of them individually.

I think your profession colurs a lot of your perspective in life. Like Pst Phil said, Luke’s gospel says a lot about the healing ministry of Jesus. What is amazing is how he could relate to it being a doctor. Being a doctor can place one in dilemma considering what you’ve been taught about the aetiology of diseases while here Jesus was rebuking devils as the cause of the diseases. However, I can only imagine that there were so many incurable diseases by doctors at that time, so seeing Jesus heal these seemingly incurable or little understood illnesses must have displayed the superiority of the gospel over science which would have made him more humble to surrender his vocation to the course of God’s kingdom and now his impact lasts forever.
