Who is God?
This is a significant question, but the answer becomes evident when we look around us. Numerous theories have been proposed about the existence of God and how to prove it, but that is beyond the scope of this section. Using material things to prove immaterial realities is inherently challenging. Despite various theories of evolution, none are as clear as the account from the Bible. Humans could not have evolved from animals or inanimate objects; otherwise, we would still be evolving into new entities, which we are not. Like only begets like.
The universe is a well-orchestrated creation by an intelligent Being who exists outside of it but expresses Himself through it, hoping we will seek and find Him. Many things we now accept as facts were considered impossible just a decade ago. Just because you do not know or feel that something exists does not mean it does not exist.
The term “God” refers to the source of all things—the Father, the Creator, the Sustainer, and the Ruler of everything. He is all-knowing, omnipresent, and all-powerful. He longs for a relationship with us because we were made from Him and share His characteristics. We can know Him only through revealed knowledge, which comes when we believe in His existence (Hebrews 11:6).
