Hey Family! This week I want to acknowledge that many of us are in a season of transition. Whether you are in between jobs, walking through a health challenge, just starting out on a new venture, preparing for a new child, or adjusting to some other circumstance… Be encouraged that our faithful God remains the same in EVERY season of our lives.

When our circumstances change, we sometimes find ourselves grappling for stability. Or sometimes we strive to accomplish whatever we think is necessary to push through to the other side. Or sometimes we are so excited to get to where we’re headed that we think our adrenaline and perseverance alone can carry us there! Our individual circumstances and natural inclinations during a time of transition will vary, but any follower of Jesus must be intentional about directing the focus of their life back to what’s important: loving and serving God.

Over the weekend, we stopped to celebrate Jesus, the resurrected King, the One who has overcome the world – and I want to encourage you to keep your eyes fixed there! Continue to walk in that revelation we too have overcome along with Christ. As 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 says, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” We’ve all experienced the stress of fixating on the things we can see – but have you ever focused on holding even more tightly to what you can’t see? Let’s keep an eternal gaze, focused on Jesus, in the midst of whatever changing or difficult circumstances we may experience on earth and trust that God will continue to strengthen us for the journey.

Share your responses to these questions below: 1) Are you currently experiencing a season of transition? If so, what is God teaching or revealing to you about this time? 2) What Scriptures do you reflect on during a season of transition?

Thanks Nia for the lovely article. We say that life is a constant flux meaning we are constantly changing. Paul says “though our outward man perishes but our inward man is being renewed day by day..”. I love that scripture. It means that in the midst of q changing world we can trust in the regeneration of our inner self. How does that happen, by prayer and renewing our minds with the word of God. Going through a transitional period can be pleasant if we are in a pleasant experience. The hard one is when it seems dark and lonely or when God is stripping us of distractions, wrong friends or habits that we loved. But like a patient trusts the surgeon despite the pain of the operation, when I trust in God’s ever loving plan and faithfulness, I know He will make me the best of me. Those days I remember singing a song that God is able, more than able to accomplish what concerns me today…to make me what He wants me to be.

🙌 yes!! I totally I agree that we are in a season of transition, God has been faithful to me he’s been moving me into a place of empowerment lately, and I feel really great about it; and I just know that there is something there and I believe the word of God when it says , if you knock the door shall be open to you, if you seek and you shall find, if you ask , you shall receive & in the past we have asked for so many things and this is time to receive what God has already released.

Amen! Great Scripture – Our inner man is being renewed day by day – such good truth to hold onto.

🕺🏼💃🏼 Thank you Nia for this well inspired article…

I found myself in your “speech”: “We’ve all experienced the stress of fixating on the things we can see – but have you ever focused on holding even more tightly to what you can’t see?

These times are times of pressure and stress for me having all kind of things going on, I feel like everything is mixed up, and I can’t really focus on my personal relationship with Christ. I mean I pray, I meditate but lookin from afar, I think I am not focused because I am trying to do everything at the same time…

Becoming an adult is not easy at all 😅

Thanks for sharing your experience, @jefferson ! Yes, I know how it is to feel overwhelmed with things to do and totally disoriented. I’m glad you found encouragement in the verse about about fixing your focus on that which is eternal. Even when things feel chaotic in terms of our day-to-day schedule, we find peace in knowing that our eternal life is secure in Christ.

As you pray, ask God to show you what’s really important in this season so you can order your life according to the priorities that He has for you right now. Perhaps there are distractions that can be cut out for the time being or a new way of organizing your time. Just be open to how the Holy Spirit may lead you 😀

Yes, we must learn to choose our battles. Paul says all things are permitted but not all things are expedient. This is where discernment comes in, to be guided by the Holy Spirit to help you prioritize on the pertinent things God would have you focus on in the current season of your life.

Remember, busyness does not necessarily equate to productivity and walking in God’s will. Take the time at this point in your life to seek God’s face concerning your purpose and destiny. It’s very important because you will spend your time on the things that matter in His eyes for you.

I am currently in a transition. I sense God is calling me upward to new and higher grounds and when I look at what is in front of me, I am tempted to be overwhelmed with fear and insecurity. But as I reflect on God’s purpose and plan, I am stirred up. No wonder Jesus once said to his disciples, embrace the Kingdom which my Father has prepared for you before the foundation of the world. Let’s move forward in faith and confidence in His promises.
