I want to ask if you have a “solitary place” where you “depart” — that is, where you put distance between yourself and others so you can have an isolated time with the Lord? He longs to have this time with you — and you must have it if you are to live as an overcoming, victorious, empowered child of God.

This is an important one for me because sometimes one can get so busy at work and when you come home, you meet the children or family who also want your attention. It reminds me that God wants my undivided attention too. Sometimes family prayer is not enough, we also need a private undisturbed prayer time where we can pour our minds out and also hear from God personally.I think this was the source of Jesus’ success in ministry.

Totally true @Michael we all need a solitary place to get away from distractions and focus on God. You have to b creative about this. Sometimes I just drive away and listen to music and Bible or audio book while praying. There are so many ways we can find solitude if we desire it.
