So many are hungry for the pure teaching of God’s Word, but they’re not receiving it because much of the solid teaching that was taught to earlier generations has been replaced by motivational sermons — or teaching of a different kind. But when the Bible is taught correctly, it has a sobering effect on people. It helps them keep their own heads on straight. It helps them win in the circumstances of life and to bear fruit to the glory of God. And it stabilizes them in times of great instability and uncertainty.

So true. This is a topic that has always been running in my subconscious and that is why over time I’ve learned to distinguish between pastors who preach from the word of God and pastors who preach “motivational speeches” or from their own experiences.

This is very true because these days most of these churches often preach about things that people want to hear which is ‘prosperity’ ignoring the true teaching, instead of winning souls to christ they let people wallow in their sins. I thank God for the true pastors who preach the true gospel of christ ,May God continue to bless them. And help us to stay focused in Jesus name Amen
