Kingdom Chat Week #14: Casting All Your Anxiety onto God
Have you ever felt weighed down by the pressures of life? Whether navigating challenges with health or relationships, juggling increasing responsibilities, or facing a major life decision, sometimes we can become entirely overwhelmed by the situations we are facing. In the Christian faith, we understand the importance of not tolerating anxious thoughts and feelings, but instead, casting all of our anxiety onto God.
As we approach Holy Week, let’s remember the intense pressure that Jesus faced in his final days before the cross, and his agonizing prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane: “Abba, Father, for you all things are possible; remove this cup from me; yet, not what I want, but what you want” (Mark 14:36). This is the posture we ought to have when under incredible pressure, or when facing challenges that we don’t know how to handle – to commit ourselves to prayer, trusting God and casting every concern on Him, remembering that His will for us is the most beautiful thing.
