July 20: Spiritual Gifts

Good word! I like the greek word he shared for “complete” meaning “fully ripened”. That definitely resonates with me, maybe because I’m hungry? But it reminds me how important it is for us to bear ripe fruit that others can consume and benefit from.

I was talking to someone yesterday about spiritual gifts and how that spiritual gifts include some of the skills we need for everyday living according Romans 12. The scripture below says it all.

In the beginning, I did not think of it that way… for me, it has just been the gifts of speaking in tongues, having words of knowledge, etc; but now, I am getting the point of it as the particular gift / talent that God has given to everyone of us.

Yes! Same here until I read that scripture recently. We downplay most of the wonderful things that God is doing in our lives just because they don’t seem obvious. I pray God will continue to open our eyes to acknowledge every good things within us.
