    Hello Everyone,

Let’s talk about creativity and innovation this week! Creativity is one of this organization’s core values – and it refers to being a good steward of the visions and fresh ideas that come from God. Being creative doesn’t mean that you know how to paint or dance or sing, it just means that by being in relationship with God, you will be productive in some way to make God’s Kingdom known. He will inspire and empower you to create – maybe you’ll start a business, maybe you’ll start a family, maybe you’ll write a book or start a blog, or maybe you’ll inspire a more godly culture in your workplace… Creativity will look different for each of us.

Let’s consider this platform, the Kingdom Life app, as an example of a creativity and divinely inspired innovation. God downloaded this idea for a virtual community of change agents who learn, grow and inspire each other. And as a leadership team, we took that vision and began to create. We began to plan, to build, to code, and over the course of a several weeks we got a prototype up and running, and we’ve since been iterating on it, making improvements, learning as we go. I’ve been in the project management field for almost a decade now, and I’ve worked on lots of system implementations in government and non-profit spaces – but there’s something special about partnering with God to create something that you know started with Him and has divine purpose to impact the world.

For our discussion, let’s take this opportunity to acknowledge the creative process of developing the Kingdom Life app. God is doing something incredibly unique here and it’s good to stop and celebrate the fruit of partnering with God in innovation. I also want to hear about your personal experience with receiving an idea from God and partnering with Him to create something new – what is exciting, what is hard? Let’s share, encourage and learn from each other.

    Discussion Prompts:

    1) How has the development of this platform inspired you in the area of creativity and innovation?

    2) Has God ever
“downloaded” to you an idea for a product, business, or
    innovation? Share your experience.

Thanks a lot @purposefaith for the inspirational and creative discussion. Talking about God’s creativity, its amazing how much detail God has on everyone of us that no two people have same finger prints. God pays attention to detail in creativity and wants us to do so.

Talking about this platform, its great to see how far we’ve come from planning some months ago to the where we are now. Kingdom concept has always been about bringing the gospel of the Kingdom of God in creative and accessible ways to our world to ensure there is no barrier hindering anyone from this message and this platform is only one of those powerful tools. Like a seed I see it grow to house many more visions.

Personally, I have had various creative ideas from God whether in ministry or my profession and even my family, some have come to pass and some we are still working on. For example even in little things like buying clothing or furnishing, I have to look in my spirit to be sure it corresponds with God’s vision in my heart. In parenting, we prayerfully hatch ideas for the children’s learning. At work, I think of ways to do my work excellently and keep praying and working to improve which makes you stand out.

I see prayer time as my most important creation time. Prayers are not always about requests but more about seeing what God sees because He has already pre-planned everything according to his purpose. Prayer elevates your perception of things to see from God’s perspective. That way you recreate on earth according to the heavenly pattern.

Prayer is about seeing. It’s the most creative moment a believer can experience because there the Holy Spirit broods on our hearts and minds and elevates our thoughts to see the innovations or patterns in heaven so that we might recreate them here on earth.

I like the way you put it in words, ‘Partnering with God in Creativity.’ God is the God of creativity and and everything He touches or does is made new and fresh. I am encouraged to see how we all came together and united around a common vision and purpose to build this platform. It goes to show that God is not just the god of Sunday but the Lord of our lives. Everything we do, all that we are can be used to serve Him and bring glory to His name. Looking forward to seeing the incredible ideas that God will be birthing through each one of us in the near future.

Reading this article and your different answers is super interesting…Creativity and innovation could be defined for me as ways to « create » or to bring into existence things that we thought about. To create something new, uncommon to mankind or our community.
Innovation comes from the latin word #innovare which means to renew, to change from old to new…
Soo both are talking about newness. As far as I am concerned, this platform brought me to think a lot on how Christians are not creating, are not innovating. For the Business Summit we are organizing here for exemple, I don’t know why we have not been able to broadcast it online. We didn’t think of it! Yes yes, I think God has given me clear creative ideas that people were mot even thinking about. I believe this is the uniqueness of God’s creative ideas he communicates to us.
