October 08: Sowing Kingdom Priorities
In a world that constantly urges us to chase after temporary pleasures and fleeting treasures, the kingdom of God stands in stark contrast. Jesus, in His wisdom, taught us to invest in eternal things that truly matter. Our time, talent, and treasure are all meant to be sown into the Kingdom, where they yield everlasting rewards. As we walk in the footsteps of our Savior, we are called to prioritize what has eternal value over what fades away. The world tells us to amass wealth, power, and status, promising happiness and security in these fleeting pursuits. Yet, Jesus warns us in Matthew 6:19-21 that earthly treasures can be stolen, decay, or lose their luster. Instead, we are to store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust can destroy. Our hearts follow where we invest, so let us invest in eternity where true joy and fulfillment reside.
