October 06: Citizens of Another Kingdom
As believers, we are citizens of a divine kingdom with values that differ profoundly from those of the world. While the world clamors for power, wealth, and recognition, the Kingdom of God calls us to humility, service, and love. In Philippians 3:20, Paul reminds us that our true citizenship is in heaven, which should fundamentally alter how we live our lives here on earth. This truth challenges us to daily examine whose kingdom we are truly serving—God’s or the world’s.The idea of being citizens of another kingdom is a radical concept that requires a complete shift in mindset. It means that our identities, priorities, and values should reflect the King we serve rather than the fleeting desires of this world. This contrast between the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of the world reminds us of the call to live with eternity in mind, seeking first the things of God and His righteousness.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”Closing Encouragement:
As citizens of heaven living in a world longing for hope and truth, may we embrace the radical call to embody the values of our heavenly King. Let us strive to seek God’s kingdom above all else, trusting that He will provide and guide us in ways far beyond our understanding. In a world yearning for genuine love and purpose, may our lives reflect the beauty and transformation of being citizens of another kingdom, pointing others to the ultimate source of hope and redemption.
