Discussion 2: Would you be proud of your lifestyle in future?
If Your Current Lifestyle Continued for Ten Years, Would You Be Proud of Where It Leads?
Theme: Habits & Direction
Scripture anchor: Galatians 6:7–9
Opening
A future can feel distant in your twenties, so today’s choices can seem temporary. But repeated choices accumulate. The question is not whether one bad day ruins your future; it is whether the direction of ordinary life is taking you somewhere you actually want to go.
Real-Life Scenario
Someone says, ‘I’ll become disciplined when I get the job I want, earn more money, get married, or when life settles down.’ Five years later, the same explanation remains. What is the danger of postponing change until circumstances become perfect?
Let’s Talk
• Which everyday habits have the greatest influence on a young adult’s direction?
• How do we distinguish a temporary season from a harmful pattern?
• Where are you relying on future motivation instead of present discipline?
• Why do small habits feel insignificant while we are doing them?
• How can someone change a pattern without trying to change everything at once?
• What would you keep doing if today’s routine continued for five years?
Biblical Perspective
Galatians 6:7–9 presents the principle of sowing and reaping and encourages perseverance. The emphasis is on the cumulative effect of what we repeatedly cultivate.
PAUSE & WRITE
Complete: ‘If nothing changed in my current routine for five years, I would be most concerned about ____.’
Action 2
Identify one STOP, one START and one CONTINUE for the next seven days.
Closing Thought
