September 15: Pray for God’s Will
As Kingdom citizens, our greatest desire should be for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. In a world that preaches self-fulfillment and personal ambition, the call to surrender our plans and desires to advance His reign can seem counterintuitive. Yet, true fulfillment and purpose are found in aligning our hearts with God’s perfect will. When we pray for God’s will to be done, we acknowledge His sovereignty and trust in His wisdom above our own.In Matthew 6:10, Jesus teaches us to pray, “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (ESV). This simple yet profound prayer encapsulates the essence of Kingdom living—submitting our will to God’s, trusting in His plans even when they differ from our own.
