September 06: Living Ready for the King’s Return
As believers, we are called to live in a state of readiness for the return of our King, Jesus Christ. This readiness isn’t marked by anxiousness or fear, but by a deep sense of anticipation and preparation. While the world may view such anticipation as impractical or unnecessary, in the Kingdom of God, this attitude of readiness is central to our identity and mission.Scripture tells us in Titus 2:13 (ESV), “waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” This waiting is not passive but active, shaping the way we live our lives, make decisions, and interact with others. Our hope isn’t in the fleeting pleasures of this world but in the eternal promise of Christ’s return.
