  • September 01: Ambassadors Sent with Purpose

    *2 Corinthians 5:20 (ESV)*
“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”

As ambassadors of Christ, we are called to represent the Kingdom of God in a world that desperately needs His message of reconciliation and love. While the world may value power, prestige, and self-promotion, God’s Kingdom operates on humility, servanthood, and sacrificial love. Our role as ambassadors is not one of seeking our own glory or status, but of pointing others towards the King who offers true redemption and peace.

This kingdom principle of ambassadorship is beautifully exemplified in the life of Jesus. He humbly served, loved unconditionally, and ultimately sacrificed Himself for the salvation of all. As His followers, we are to emulate His example in our daily lives, showing the world the transformative power of God’s grace and love through our words and actions.

    Biblical Points:

    1. Identity as Ambassadors:
    *2 Corinthians 5:20 (ESV)*
We are called to be ambassadors for Christ, representing His Kingdom and sharing His message of reconciliation with the world.

    2. God’s Appeal through Us:
    *2 Corinthians 5:20 (ESV)*
God works through us to make His appeal to a broken world, calling others to be reconciled to Him.

    3. Humility in Service:
    *Philippians 2:3-4 (ESV)*
“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
As ambassadors, we are called to approach others with humility and genuine care, prioritizing their well-being above our own.

    4. Sacrificial Love:
    *John 13:34-35 (ESV)*
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people

Thank you! 🙏 If we are truly Christ’s ambassadors, what do you think people should encounter when they encounter us?
