August 13: Honoring Our Spiritual Family
As citizens of the Kingdom, we are called to honor and preserve the unity of the body of Christ, our spiritual family. The world often values individualism and self-assertion, but the Kingdom principle calls us to humility, patience, and love as we submit to one another in Christ. In Ephesians 4:1-3, Paul instructs us to walk in a manner worthy of our calling, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.In a culture that celebrates personal achievements and independence, it can be challenging to prioritize the unity and well-being of our spiritual family. However, God’s Word reminds us that honoring one another, being patient, and embracing love and unity are essential aspects of our identity in Christ. Just as each member of a human body plays a vital role, so do we in the body of Christ, each with unique gifts and callings that contribute to the whole.
