July 30: Praying Your Kingdom Come
In a world consumed with personal gain and ambition, Jesus teaches us to pray for the coming of God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). This kingdom principle goes against the grain of self-centered living, calling us to seek God’s will above all else. When we pray for His kingdom to come, we are surrendering our own agendas and aligning ourselves with God’s sovereign plan.Contrary to worldly thinking that promotes self-sufficiency and success at all costs, Kingdom living thrives on dependence and humility before God.
