The God of creation invites us into prayerful reflection not just to know Him, but to discover who we are becoming in Christ. The world says our identity is found in what we do or possess. Yet, Scripture guides us to understand that our true identity is a prophetic identity bestowed by God’s design. As Jeremiah 29:11 reveals, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” (ESV). In quiet moments with God, we become attuned to His plans already woven into our spirits, glimpsing the blessings wrapped in our becoming.Throughout Scripture, stories unfold of individuals transformed by divine purposes. Mary, the mother of Jesus, was called into a prophetic identity as she sat with the angelic promise of a son, the Savior.
