    Hey everyone!

Today, let’s have a meaningful discussion on living a lean lifestyle—not just in terms of finances, but also in simplifying our lives to focus on what truly matters.

    Luke 12:15 reminds us:

“Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”

With that in mind, here are some questions to reflect on and share your thoughts:

1️⃣ What are some unnecessary expenses or possessions that often distract us from what truly matters?

2️⃣ How does generosity tie into living a lean lifestyle? In what ways can simplifying our lives make us more giving?

3️⃣ How can we encourage one another to embrace contentment rather than constantly seeking more?

Let’s share our experiences and insights! Looking forward to your thoughts.

I think it could be a struggle balancing living a lean lifestyle and launching out for career success. My question: how can we live lean without becoming complacent in career/business?

Interesting question. I’ll give my opinion because there’s that extreme where some would say “Take the world and give me Jesus” which is right in one sense but could be used to justify laziness.

According to our focus this month of resourcefulness, God demands fruitfulness. Living lean for me is about cutting down on greed, envy and insatiable desire to accumulate more at the expense of others, family or even our health or mental wellbeing. Sometimes we want to accumulate or achieve more out of unhealthy competition and comparison.

God wants us to be high achievers but we should do so in a spirit of gratitude, selflessness and most importantly, contentment. As Apostle Paul puts it, “Godliness with contentment is great gain”.
