At specific points in history, there is always an eruption of creativity and innovation that takes the world to new light and way of living. It is this evolving nature of life on earth that fuels civilization. From the invention of electricity to the automobile and computers, humanity has always been in a constant movement. Nations, ethnicities, and cultures have radically transformed as new knowledge and information become available to man.

It is no different from the kingdom of God and the Church. At critical points in God’s plan for man, He sends apostles and prophets to bring new wisdom, revelation, and direction to the Church. Several years ago, I learned from my brother and friend, @michael , that Jesus is the reason for the civilization of man as he explains John 1:4, “In Him was life, and the life was the light (civilization) of men.

I believe that God is moving anew upon the Church, and this time through us, Kingdom Concept, to blaze a trail for the body of Christ to enter into a new reality of His Kingdom. With this privilege comes specific obligations.

Pioneering a new initiative often comes with responsibility. It demands stewardship. When you’re part of a new movement, you must recognize first that the mandate will always start as unpopular. Jesus was a pioneer of a new concept and kingdom reality, radically different from the religion that was prevalent in His time. Jesus launched something utterly unique in human history – a dynamic missionary movement intent on reaching the world, as Steve Addison puts it in his book, ‘Pioneering Movement.’

In this series, I will share some fundamental principles and apostolic qualities and behaviors of biblical, historical, and contemporary pioneers. These new apostles guide the Church into a new era of Kingdom reality. By the help of the Holy Spirit, your eyes will open to see how God is calling you into a more profound and powerful walk with Him, to make a difference in the world.

See you in the next episode. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Looking forward to this series. Looking back on history, we can see how innovation has done great things in society but when those new inventions, or new ways of living, were introduced they were usually unpopular. Interesting to see how that parallels with the unfolding of the ages and the evolution of the church. Thanks for pointing that out.

An inspiring piece. You know just thinking of that scripture you quoted,in John 1 stirs up something within me. It reminds me of a lot of innovation we’ve made even in this ministry that we didn’t set out thinking we would. You are a true example of this. The word of God is life in us and that life brings civilization/enlightenment/creativity/innovation. Christians are not dummies at all. King David said in Psalms 119 that he had more understanding than his teachers because of God’s law that renews his mind. Thanks for sgaring this Pst Phil.

@michael Yes. It was you that expounded that scripture in one of our word conference during our campus days. It stuck with me this long.
